St.Mary’s Matriculation School is run by St.Mary’s Educational Trust. 36 years ago their mission of service to humanity through education began with the establishment of St.Mary’s matriculation school. This institution not only produces outstanding results, but excellent students.
The first concrete expression of the school took its dimensions in 1987 when there were no matriculation schools in and around kariapatti. Since matriculation syllabus was new and none of the schools opened for the challenge, we were one of the pioneers to take up the matriculation syllabus and we have proved ourselves by establishing our school name in Tamilnadu. We began with 10 students in the KG classes in 1987. It upgraded up to fifth std in the year 1990, Upper Primary (6-8th Std) in 1996, secondary level and it was upgraded to Secondary status in 2004.

Every human being needs education for enriching his knowledge and helps him to live in the society he lives. Education makes him a national being. In the fast moving world with digital system education should he given top priority. Education is a never-ending process. So students have to study and read throughout his life to broaden his outlook.
Poverty is not a hindrance to education. Beg, borrow or steal for continuing your education. In the past many great men studied under the street lamps and became bright students. In my case also I studied my lessons with a hurricane lamp and completed my SSLC course. Now-a-days governments have come forward to give free education etc., to all students. So students should avail this opportunity and get good education. In matriculation school they offer education through English medium. In addition they provide smart classes and all other facilities. Under these circumstances India would become strong with literate citizens.
The present education system only develops the intellect, skills and other extra-curricular activities. But what about improving the good character of children? There is old saying which stresses the importance of good character.
Hence Education should serve not only to develop the students’ intelligence skills etc., but also help to develop good character in them, so that they could become useful citizens of our country.
So in St.Mary’s Matriculation school, we insist on the all around development of the child, moulding of character beings at the earliest age of the child.
St.Mary’s school is dedicated to cater to the needs of the children in all aspects such as intellectual, emotional, physical, social aesthetic etc.,which will make him fit for the world in the 21st century.

We at St. Mary’s Matriculation School strive to respect the unique individuality of each child, give the child the right kind of help.
